Linville Falls Winery is a family-owned and run vineyard, winery, and farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. We are pioneering wine in the Appalachian High Country with "old man" Jack Wiseman at the lead and the grandkids following close after in his enthusiasm for planting grapes and winemaking.
Our 40-acre vineyard and farm is located in a rich valley between hills packed with rows of lush, green vines, just north of the Blue Ridge Parkway and Linville Gorge. Seyval Blanc, Vidal Blanc, Noiret, Marquette, Petit Verdot, Marechal Foch, and Riesling are among our grape varietals. But you'll also find blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, heirloom apples, pumpkins, maize, and, of course, Christmas trees on our farm. Grapevines flourish in our alpine climate at elevations of 3,200-3,400 feet. Because to the cool nights and low humidity, our grapes mature slowly while producing fresh, bright flavors, resulting in superb wines. We are part of the Appalachian High Country AVA, which is a distinct growing area that characterizes our climate and spans 2,400 square miles across eight counties and three states. We are delighted about the wines that will be produced on this vineyard for future generations!
